Salary: $41,803 – $64,864 (Negotiable Dependent Upon Qualifications)

Catawba County Social Services is recruiting for a seasoned IT professional that possesses programming skills (Web highly preferred) as well as project management abilities. This position will work with the re-engineering team to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines and within budget. Great small team atmosphere. Catawba County is one of the most progressive governmental agencies in the state with top notch tools being utilized. Specific duties of the position includes defining any requested software with users; analyzing the users’ requests; designing and developing software request with appropriate programming tools; testing; implementing; reviewing the new software with users; modifying software for any changes; and maintaining software for any process changes or user requests.

REQUIRES: Graduation from a four year college or university with a degree in computer science or a related field and three years experience in a directly related technological function; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ideal candidate will have: intermediate to advanced skills in web programming with at least two years of experience; as well as experience in Microsoft Windows (9x, 2K, XP), C/C++, VB.Net, ASP.Net, SQL, HTML, XML, and crystal reports. Applicants must possess excellent skills in the following areas: analysis, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills. This position is considered light duty; lifting up to 20 pounds.
